Where was Dittbenner?

Our Punter Andy Dittbenner was MIA after the beginning of the 2nd quarter. Nendick came in and his first punt was a 55-yarder that was downed at the Iowa 5-yard line! He booted 7 punts for a 43.4 average for the game.

Quote from O____dad of the Dog Pound:

He SOOOOOOOO didn't know where he was. He walked to the Iowa sideline he was so lost.

My son told me that when Andy came back from the locker room
Andy came over to him and asked him if it was a good punt, how far was it?............................and if it had a nice spiral.

Here is a video of Nendick's first punt:

From The Courier:

Iowa took advantage of a 56-yard punt return by Andy Brodell to the NIU 20-yard line early in the second on a play that knocked Huskie punter Andy Dittbenner out of the game. He was blocked hard on the play, staggered to his feet and went to the wrong bench before being guided to the correct sideline where he remained with what was termed a "head injury."

Nendick, who punted in high school, boomed a 55-yarder and 46-yarder in his first two attempts. His 33-yard field goal capping a 49-yard drive late in the second quarter was NIU's lone score.

Novak on the kickers per Northern Star:

However, the junior wasn’t up to see the punt. Instead, he saw grass, as he was leveled onto the ground during the play. As he slowly rose from the indentation in the ground, he began to walk back toward the sidelines – Iowa’s sideline.

“He didn’t know where he was,” Novak said. “Obviously he went off to the wrong sideline so he got his bell rung pretty good.”
...

“I’ll say this about Chris – he came in and he doesn’t work on punting a heck of a lot, that’s pretty darn good to average 43-yards a punt,” Novak said. “That’s pretty special.”
