Wait...who is Chad Spann?
The casual NIU fan may not know about C-SPANN, but he already is a hardcore NIU fan cult favorite.
He's a True Freshman Walk-On that has already earned a scholarship. Joe Novak wanted to offer this guy a scholarship out of high school, but didn't have any left to give. He made a good choice to come here.

Here's his bio. Interesting note that he was a 3-time state qualifier for long jump. Also qualified for the 200. Set numerous school records and was 1st team all state after earning 2nd team his JR year.
