First Verbal for Coach Kill

QB Jordan Lynch out of Mt. Carmel has made a verbal commitment to play for the Huskies today. He is being recruited as an Athlete and could possibly play WR, S or OLB if QB doesn't work out for him. Lynch has pretty good size and that he performed well enough at NIU's camp that they offered him a scholarship, which was his first offer. You can follow the 2009 rest of verbals by checking NIU's commit list on Rivals.com.

We have an excellent pipeline in to the very good Mt. Carmel program as we currently have WR James Jeffries, Defensive Lineman Ron Newcomb and incoming Fullback Connor Krisch hailing from the Caravan. He may not go directly to the defensive backfield like Boone Thorgeson did and get a few extra looks at QB coming in.

"I like to run, and I like the contact," said Lynch, who orchestrates the 11-0 Caravan's option running attack. "I've always been fast enough to run away from people, but I don't mind running over them as well.
