Colleges offering top dollar for non-conference home games (USA Today)

Wisconsin will pay "just under $1 million" for each of two home games against Northern Illinois, according to athletics director Barry Alvarez.

Depending on whether Krause or Pirkle play, Ed Jackson could be our only NG left!

Jason Onyebuagu will probably start at C for Adamski, and Tim Mayerbock will fill in at his RG spot.

The secondary is a little shaken up with Rice gone, but Pruitt did a good job filling in last week and will start at CB again. Kube & Reiter @ the Safety spots.

Returning punts will be Matt Simon. Fielding kickoffs will most likely be Evans Adonis & Patrick George.

Quote of the day per Wisconsin Head Coach Brett Bielema (Dekalb Chronicle):

“They've had, I think, seven straight bowl appearances, is that correct?,” Bielema said. “They've been winning there for a long time, unfortunately going through some bumps this year, but I know that they're a team that's going to come in ready to play on Saturday.”

Thanks Brett, but we're not in the Big 10. 7 straight winning seasons isn't gonna guarantee you a bowl every year in the MAC conference. We didn't even get a bowl game in 2003 when we were 10-2! 2 bowl games, but thanks for the props.
