OK we play Wisconsin 2day. Last time we played them in '02 we had like 8 sacks and should have won the game. One of the first NIU games I watched. Hopefully this can be the same kinda game.

ReplyDeleteOpening Kickoff - Another one of our running backs, #28 Ricky Crider, goes down with what looks like to be a serious injury. He gets carted off of the field. OMG he has a broken left leg. Unbelievable.
Announcers talk about other injuries:
Alex Krutsch - has a staph infection
John Hopkins - went to the hospital for somehting
Spencer Williamson is starting for Kube at SS? Very weird.
Mark Reiter with the worst safety blitz ever! Applies no pressure and Wisconsin gets a first down.
Uh oh another freshman mistake by Patrick George he gets burned for a TD! He was really slow getting to his guy and had no safety help.

Dan N tries to go to Simon again when he is covered. It kinda sucks Matt is our only offensive weapon.
PJ Hill spins off everybody on Wisconsin's first offensive play. Kube and somebody else collide almost and miss the tackle. This is going to be a looong game if our offense can't get going.

If I were on NIU's D, I would hate the offense with a passion. All they do is go 3 and out and the D has to play the entire game.

I'm convinced our O-Line & RBs are just no good. We've run against B10 teams before. With Wolfe, so I don't know who to blame. I choose to blame both. And Horvath kept us afloat (sometimes).
I agree with Barry Alvarez and his 1-4 seedings for the National Championship. I have always been saying this is the best solution (+1 model)
